  1. I immensely enjoyed listening to John Wooden on ‘True Success’. Wooden begins the video by giving his own definition of success which I think is spot on. “Peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction and knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you’re capable.” This is something that I will share with my students. Too many times students work to get an A. It is not about the grade. The important thing is that students give effort to do the best of which they’re capable, like John Wooden said.
    Other insight from Wooden that I think is worth sharing is:
    1) Reputation is what you are perceived to be, whereas character is what you really are.
    2) Three rules to follow: Don’t whine, Don’t complain, Get out there and do the best you can.
